Hey, youth of today.

In case you were not aware, there are a few things I'd like to mention. Firstly, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church finally has a website. You can find it at http://goodshep.sasktelwebsite.net. You youth have a page all of your own there, so if you have any requests, let me know, and I'll do what I can to accomodate you.

Secondly, we're working on getting another event going on pretty soon. We've had some requests, and we're figuring that our next activity might involve riding horses. If there is a pile of interest, let me know, and I'll do what I can to make it work.

Thirdly, as some of you know, this Sunday almost all of the Sunday School teachers will be away at breakforth, the large Christian conference in Edmonton. That means that the remaining Sunday School teachers are going to need some help with the games that Greg Vallee will be putting together. If you can help, then please let me know. It'll be 9:45, between services. It would be great to see some of you there.

Lastly, finally, we have some humour that is both Clean, and, actually, quite funny. If you're familiar with Sir-Mix-A-Lot, it's even better. Check out "Baby Got Bible" Baby got Bible.

Hi, guys.

As you are all now doubt well aware by now, the time to take that journey back through time has come and gone. And what have we learned?
1 - Triceratops doesn't have a huge tail like he does in the movies. It's more the size of an elephant's tail.
2 - Long-necked dinosaurs will mess you up, almost guaranteed.
3 - Pygmies paddle canoes faster than outboard motors if they get scared.
4 - JJ was actually descended from monkees. (the musical group, not the animals).
5 - Anyone presenting a short nature film about beavers will almost for sure have a silly voice.
6 - If you can't see the whole body, drawing pictures of dinsaurs is pretty difficult.

Many thanks to Brian Sass for leading us through this excellent pan-historical trip. I've learned more over the past day than I can possibly fit into my head. Therefore, I will be taking the time to take in some more of what Brian Sass has to say through this link: http://www.harvestcity.sk.ca/messages/list_briansass.htm

Check it out. Expand your heads, learn about giant spiders, and so on. You'll love it.

Possibly most importantly, we learned exactly why we aren't the ones designing dinosaurs. Because we haven't got the slightest clue what we're doing.

Well, hi, Youth of the world.

As of tomorrow, we will be taking an exciting trip back through time. How far, you may ask? Well, as far as possible, really. And you see, that all depends on your preconceived notions of how long the Earth has been around. Fifty trillion years, or more like ten thousand? How to know, and who to trust.

This Saturday, we'll be getting a talk from Brian Sass, who is a Paelobiologist and jungle explorer, and he'll be walking us through what to trust, and what to take from the evidence. After that, we'll be headed over to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, to check out some of the stuff we will have just heard about.

Want to know more about the world we live in? Well, we'll see you on Saturday.
